FRACTIONAL RACEHORSE OWNERSHIP · START HERE.

Get in the game.
Start with as little as 1%.

Fractional ownership with Race Shares lets you own a percentage of a racehorse while the stable team handles its training and daily care. Choose your horse, choose your share, and follow the journey from the barn to race day.

1 share = 1% ownership in one horse. Choose an individual horse or, when available, the same percentage in each horse in our four-horse stable package.

  1. Choose your yearling

Buy as little as 1% in an individual horse, or the same percentage in each of the four-horse stable. Select shares, sign in with an email code and pay securely. The team then reviews the completed ownership agreement.

  2. Full training from November 1

Our yearlings begin full training November 1, 2026, working toward their two-year-old racing season in 2027. Follow the early miles as each young horse builds fitness, experience and confidence.

  3. Visit. Watch. Follow along.

Arrange a farm visit in Swartz Creek and meet your horse. Follow horse reports, photos and videos as training progresses. Your account holds verified ownership, private documents and issued care invoices.

  4. Cheer at the fairs

Follow suitable horses into summer racing and toward championship opportunities. Michigan and Ohio offer different paths; each horse’s eligibility and readiness guide its schedule. First starts and 2027 dates will be confirmed with the team.

Four Horses. One Stable. Your Ownership.

Start with the same ownership percentage in all four 2026 yearlings and follow each horse’s individual journey.

  • One package gives you the same ownership percentage in each of our four horses.
  • Follow four separate training and racing journeys.
  • Your ownership is recorded separately for each horse. Any later transfer is arranged with Race Shares, subject to approval, transfer requirements and buyer availability.
  • Prefer one horse? Individual ownership is still available starting at $100 per 1%.

Horse ownership involves ongoing expenses and financial risk. Diversification across four horses does not guarantee returns or resale liquidity.

FROM THE FARM TO THE FAIRGROUNDS

Where will your horse race?

The goal is to follow your yearling into its two-year-old racing season in 2027. Michigan fair racing is at the heart of the experience, with a separate Ohio path for our Ohio-bred horse. The team plans each horse’s races around its eligibility, development and readiness.

MICHIGAN

A summer at the fairs

Eligible horses can work toward racing at fairgrounds across Michigan. The 2026 calendar included Croswell, Caro, Midland, Big Rapids, Hastings, Fowlerville, Harrison, Bad Axe, Ludington, Alpena, Hart, Allegan and Centreville.

For owners, that means a chance to visit different communities, meet the team and cheer for a horse you have a stake in. Ask the team which meetings are being targeted for your horse before making travel plans.

OHIO · A DIFFERENT RACING PATH

More than one route to competition

Rocco’s Return is listed as Ohio-bred. Ohio has a larger nomination pool, according to the Race Shares team, alongside a broader range of series and divisions in which to seek suitable competition.

Ohio’s program includes county-fair circuits, the Buckeye Stallion Series and Ohio Sires Stakes. The team will review nominations and conditions to find appropriate opportunities for Rocco; these are racing options, not confirmed entries.

The Michigan nomination figures below do not describe Ohio’s pool or Rocco’s competition.

  2. Early SeptemberThe schedule listed Sire Stakes eliminations on September 1–2 and Finals Day on September 9, for eligible horses meeting the conditions.

New to harness racing?

What are the divisions?

Horses race in separate two-year-old and three-year-old classes. Within each age group, the four categories are colt pace, filly pace, colt trot and filly trot. Colt divisions can include eligible geldings; filly divisions are for female horses.

Trot means the horse moves its legs in diagonal pairs. Pace means it moves the legs on the same side together. A two-year-old filly trotter is matched with her own age and gait division, rather than every nominated horse.

What does a race’s purse mean?

The purse is the total prize money for a race. It is divided among finishers according to the race’s conditions; it is not an amount paid to every horse or every owner.

For historical context, MHHA’s 2026 schedule listed estimated purses of $12,000 for Blue, $9,000 for Green and $6,800 for Mixed events, subject to revenue. These are 2026 estimates, not confirmed 2027 purses. Owner distributions depend on earnings, expenses and the ownership agreement.

How does a horse reach a championship?

Nominations and required payments keep a horse eligible for the relevant program. Entry conditions, any qualifying requirements or eliminations, and the horse’s readiness determine the next steps. The team will explain the applicable route as the season’s conditions are confirmed.

The objective is to develop each horse and pursue suitable opportunities. Neither a championship start nor a championship result is guaranteed.

A return to harness racing

John Wentworth’s July 2026 purchase of Honor’s Miracle renewed his connection to harness racing. Her development, a Spartan Stakes runner-up finish and a pair of season-ending wins helped inspire the ownership experience behind Race Shares.

LOOKING AHEAD · THREE-YEAR-OLD SEASON IN 2027

Resting, growing and preparing for what comes next.

Honor’s Miracle is now turned out, resting and growing ahead of her three-year-old season. Her story is about more than the results: watching a young horse develop, celebrating her accomplishments and sharing the anticipation of another season.

Calculated from owner-supplied Standardbred Canada U.S.-dollar racelines: July 21 transfer; seven subsequent starts from July 27 through October 6, 2026. The September 27 scratch is excluded. Her full season was 10 starts, four wins and $28,006 gross earnings; $2,610 was earned before this ownership. These figures are gross purses before expenses and ownership distributions, not net profit or a forecast for other horses. Her 1:59.4 mile was a runner-up time; her winning mark is 2:01.3.

THE OWNER & OPERATOR BEHIND RACE SHARES

Meet John Wentworth

A lifelong connection to racing. A career built in business. A new way to share the experience.

Before building his real estate career, John Wentworth was a successful Standardbred trainer and driver, winning driving and training titles in Michigan and Canada. Racing was his first chapter—and the connection to the horses never left him.

John stepped away from racing to pursue real estate, where he built Wentworth Real Estate into a brokerage of more than 60 people serving communities throughout Michigan. That experience in business would later become part of the foundation for Race Shares.

In 2015, John bought his first Thoroughbred racehorse, Chocolate Ride, who won 11 races for John’s ownership team, including four graded stakes, and earned more than $700,000. John continued to grow his Thoroughbred ownership experience with additional racehorses, including other graded stakes winners.

In July 2026, the purchase of Honor’s Miracle brought John back to harness racing and renewed his enthusiasm for the sport. Race Shares brings together his experience in Standardbreds, Thoroughbreds and business to give others a way to share in the joy of harness racing in Michigan and Ohio.

Personally invested: John owns 55% of each horse in the current four-horse yearling stable, investing his own money alongside fellow owners.

WHY RACE SHARES EXISTS
